After listening to episode 1 of Serial, we have learned that our narrator (journalist), Sara Koenig is obsessed with Adnan Syed's case. As journalist and news writers, we want to observe Koenig's investigative strategies to improve our own. In other words, why do people want to keep listening to Serial? What makes them want to listen? In class, we discussed that Sara is obsessed. I want you to spend time with the word/ idea of obsessed and write a journal entry.
For example, maybe you are obsessed with a TV show and CANNOT stop watching it. Or, maybe you are obsessed with a song and you CANNOT get the music out of your head. Now, think about why.
Please answer the following questions:
1. What does the word obsessed mean?
2. Describe something you or someone else is obsessed with.
3. Why are you, or this person, obsessed with this thing?
In your journal entry, try to be as descriptive as possible. Explain the reasons someone would be obsessed.
