                                           I obsessed with the movies
Everyone has own hobbies, some enjoy playing basketball, others like going shopping with folks, but for me, I'm greatly obsessed with the movies, especially spy movies.
I really fascinated by the spy movies is because of the plot, once I watched a movie named Infernal affairs, it's kind of spy movies, the movie talks about the two types of people, police and gangster, and 2 branch people all send a spy to each side to get inside of information, however, the things is not going to as easy as they think, the people they send, they lose themselves,I mean, their personalities start to change a little by little, they are struggle what to do, the spy on the police 's side think they can get great profit to being a bad man, so that they struggle to the inside of their heart, on the other hand, the spy on the bad side, their personalities start to change also, they've been more comfortable for being  police than being a gangster, because they want a stable life, but they are spy, their goal is to get more informations about the police and assist the bad people to doing something under the table or deliver something illegally.
when I saw the spy moves, it really hook my interests, the acting, plots, I really obsessed with it!

Assignment 1.

In my opinion, it's really difficult to say about your own strengths and weaknesses. I mean sure I understand that you have to know it, but sometimes it's not the truth when you judge yourself.

Anyway, when studied at school I wrote a lot: some essays and compositions, which didn't have strict regulations of form, amount of the words and so on. Moreover I wrote it not only for myself, but sometimes I also did it for my classmates, who had difficulties with writing. At high school I won few times in regional competitions with my stories and short novels. But when I went to university I started to write something less and less. Only essay about some subjects which not interesting for me, with this amount of words which professor want, only using this words and phrases which you have to use. I'm sure that education sometimes kill your creativity.

So before I could tell you about my strengths and weaknesses.

But now..

My strengths that I always know how many paragraphs and words my writing should include, which phrases I should use for introduction and conclusion and etc.

My weaknesses is knowledge of English grammar and my  vocabulary. But I hope one day I will improve it.

Anyway my weaknesses and strengths on English writing and on my language writing is really different.

Assignment 3

The article which I read yesterday called "The shake shack economy" by James Surowiecki.

The author tell us about "fast-casual". It's chains of restaurants which similar to fast-food but owners use food of better quality. For example, Chipotle, Shake Shack, Five guys or Panera.

This business was organized at the end od 90th when economic boom happened and majority of people led increasingly busy work lives.

Even if traditional fast-food chains ignore changings of consumer's needs( I mean something healthier and better quality) new organizations can gave people what they want to have.

Also it may seems that the success of fast-casual was just matter of the right product at the right time it's not the truth. They not only responded to customer's demand but also did something own, because in reality consumers didn't what exactly they want.

It happened also with Starbucks: no one couldn't imagine that people will spend 2$ just for cup of coffee, but no it became a reality.

The conclusion is that nowadays people when they talk about fast-food prefer "food" than "fast"

Assignment 2: My obsession

Let me start by saying what obsession is. Definition, which I found in dictionary says: "Obsession is an idea or thought that continually preoccupies or intrudes on a person's mind."

But in reality this feeling is much deeper and stronger sometimes. So it's difficult describe it with the words.

Some people obsessed with their lovers, with food, with pets, with TV-shows, someone obsessed with job, idea and etc. The object of obsession may differ from person to person and even if it's so different sometimes, still it have something similar: usually, when people get what they obsessed with they finally become happy for some period of time, but than they start to want something new. It like with drug addicted people or with adrenaline. You want so much to get it, than when you receive a dose, you became most happiest person in the world, but some time latter this feeling disappear and you start this vicious circle from the beginning.

Anyway, I'd like to tell you about my obsession. It's my deep secret, but I'll share it with you but on one condition: you'll keep it and wouldn't tell anyone.

My obsession and my addiction is ... traveling.  In my opinion there is nothing better in this world than travelling.

When I was 6-7 years old I went abroad first time in my life. We went to Greece. Now I already  don't remember which place in Greece it was exactly, but I remember for sure how excited I was. Just imagine: you going to the huge and scary machine which going to fly above the countries, seas and sky! Few hours and you came to plays where you never was before, where everything so different from your normal life: another weather, other people, food, language... Everything!

Since this time I traveled almost every year. I went to USA, France, Italy, England, Dubai, Thailand... Many countries around the world. I can't explain why exactly I love it. Maybe because you meet new people there, who can became your really good friends in future, maybe because you try new cuisine, which about you even never heard before. You can learn different languages or at least some phrases. You can enjoy unique architecture of different counties, cities, centuries. And of course because you faced with new cultures and have opportunity to broad your horizons, connect it with your culture and so on.

I hope that my job in future will be connected with my obsession. It became a reason why I want to study tourism and hospitality now. Also I hope I'll find people who have the same obsession and we will travel and try to find ways to travel more and more together. Below, maybe one year ago, I was obsessed with idea to go to USA. Now, when my dreams came true, I want to visit India, Australia and Brazil.

So, as you understood from my writing, I deeply obsessed with wanderlust.

Journal Assignment 3

What is the coolest thing in 21th century? Apple? Google Glass? Tesla? Different people have different opinion, but in this article, I want to introduce the pioneer of our time, Tesla. Tesla, found in 2003, is one of the most famous car brand on earth now. As we all know that Tesla is powered by electricity and occupied by the advance technology that make it looks like a science fiction vehicle. However, unlike its successful progress in U.S, it have a harsh time in the biggest market in the world-China. Why? We can see something from the newspaper.

Firstly, practicability. You must don’t want to buy a useless but expensive thing and keep it in your house, but this is an embarrassed situation that Tesla are facing right now. If your car is a gasoline car, you can find gas station anywhere in your town, but if your car is an electricity car, you won’t be so lucky, especially in China. Because Tesla is a pure electricity car, you can only charge your car in your garage. This is a huge limitation although the car can drive 275 miles with one battery, people still think it’s no as convenient as gasoline cars.

Secondly, the price is a problem. In China, the lowest level of Tesla car sells about 100,000$, and it is not a tiny number. What kind of vehicle can we buy in China with 100,000$? BMW 5class, Mercedes-Benz C class, and these are old brand that with a very good reputation in China, so why should those affordable people choose Tesla?

The last and the most important that the media won’t tell us, who is the enemy of Tesla? Tesla is the name of a great scientist-Nikola Tesla, who was the enemy of Thomas Edison. Edison prevented the inventions of Tesla because these will make him lose a lot of profits. Like today, the old gasoline cars like Toyota, BMW,  ...... will spend no effort to prevent the new energy car rises. So does the energy company like Exxon Mobil, BP, because they need the customers who use gasoline cars. And unfortunately, these big companies have the ability to control the government, which is a huge gap that separate the idea and reality.
However, although there are many problem in new energy car, we should still keep our hope that they will dominate the market in some day because the environment can not suffer anymore. And we should believe the world will change, maybe it will take a long period but at least Nikola Tesla is remembered by us right now.

VOD Assignment 1 : My Writing Skills and Goal

I know it is weird to talk about the writing strength by myself. But if I have to say, I will say that my strength of writing is my clear thinking, the sequence of an article and I can organize the passage well. Also, I am good at narrate real stories. But, when I write something it always takes me a long time to create, to meditate. I always think a lot about whether my essay is good enough, and worry about the mistakes that I could make. I don’t know how to use the words to show what I exactly mean. So I am very unsure with my writing.

My goal of writing is let the reader moved. Importantly, I hope them can think about their lives, get inspired after they have read and learn something useful from my articles. Such as to realize how life is wonderful and what they really want. I know it’s not easy to achieve this goal, so I should take some actions to improve my writing skills.

What I want to do to improve my writing skills is:

1)    Read more, to get more information so that I can use, and it’s can also inspire my talent.

2)    Practice more: If you want to improve some skills, you should practice often obviously. Write every day.

4)    Be confident and DO NOT try to be PERFECT!!!!!

Journal Assignment 2: Travel, the thing obsessed me.

I would like to talk about something that I obsessed with like movie, music, travel, but if you want me to tell you, I think travel is the best because stories happen when travelling. There is an old saying in China: Read 10 thousand of books is not a patch on walk 10 thousand miles. And I hold approval opinion with it because I’ve been traveled a lot of place in China and I found that the things that I get are more valuable than the things I learned in school.

However, I read an article several years ago that rebuilt my world view and enlighten my spirit. It said that sometimes travel is not as vital as we think because if you just arrived some place and unable to get insight into the precious culture that they have, the trip would be just a trip, but not the valuable experience. Furthermore, if you haven’t enough knowledge, you won’t understand the emotion that the place you stand gives you.

It influenced me a lot so I decided to change my mind, for example, I should read more books before my trip and stay longer in a place that I really like, instead of gain a superficial understanding through cursory observation. After that, travel became a holy thing in my life, I thought I should treat every trip seriously because maybe it will be the only chance I visited here.

Although I am in American now, travel is still obsessed me and I found maybe it’s time to make my destination higher, not only China but also other part of world. That’s the thing I want to talk about.

VOD Assignment 2 : Music, Music, I obsessed with you

There are lots of different things and people in the world, and different people obsessed with different things. The things that people fascinated by could be anything, such as food, sports, even the person you appreciate. As for me, I’m so obsessed with Music. I love basically any kind of music, and any countries’ songs.

A song will be loved by me because of good lyrics. Sometimes lyrics tell a story, sometimes it shows someone’s emotion, and sometimes it also can let you think about your life and you can learn something from it. For example, ‘when I was your man’ was sung by Bruno Mars. This song was about a man missed his girlfriend after they broke up, and it was really moved me because of the lyrics, especially the rear section. The lyrics of this song exactly showed the mood of the man. The contrast between the front part of the song and the last part of the song was really great. That ‘I SHOULD have bought you flowers and held your hand.’ and ‘I hope HE buys you flowers, I hope HE holds your hand’ let me feel sad and moved even I have never experiences this before.

Another song that I really loved was Michael Jackson’s ‘Man in the Mirror’. This song was talk about people should spend time on self-introspect and help each other so that the world will be better. The main idea of this song is if you want to change the world, you should change yourself first. The lyrics that touched me in this song were that ‘I see the kids in the street, with not enough to eat. Who am I, to be blind? Pretending not to see their needs.’  This sentence was really let me think a lot, and thankfully, I changed myself to help people. See, these are how the lyrics work.

There was a thing about me that other people thought it was weird, is that I can weep when I listened a song that not Chinese or English. When my friends saw me tearing when I listened to a Korean song, they asked:

“Do you understand the meaning of the lyrics?”

“No.” I answered.

“So why you weeping?” they asked with very curious and surprised tone.

“Because.. yeah, I don’t understand the meaning of the lyrics. But I understand the meaning of the song. So, that’s why.”

As this conversation, it shows that my opinion is: there are no national boundaries in Music. Sometimes, I even prefer the song with the lyrics that I don’t understand than the lyrics that I understand. Why? Because if so, YOU can give the meaning of each lyrics, with no restrictions. You will be the king of this song. It’s maybe a little bit weird, but it makes sense. Furthermore, you will become more creative, and I really enjoy to give my own meaning of a song.

Music is really magical and fantastic, isn’t it? It can let you up when you down; it can make you to think a lot and love this world more; it can also bring you in other dramatic world and tell you something mysterious. So, that’s why I love Music so much. I am attracted by Music, now and forever.
